GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Agitated Nutsche Filter consists of a cylindrical shell with top dished and flat bottom. We have 2 types of Filter Bed i.e., Monoblock type & Bottom detachable type. Agitator blades made in specially “S” curved to take high torque generated during solid discharge and re-slurring operation.

This is a combination of Filter and Dryer unit in single equipment to achieve economy in process and energy thereby improving profitability.

MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION:

Stainless steel, Hastelloy C-276, Hastelloy C-22, Hastelloy C, Tefzel, PFA, Halar lining, Monel etc,

FILTER MEDIA:

1) Multilayered Sintered wire mesh.
2) Filter cloth Natural or Synthetic fiber
3) Metallic Screens.

SHAFTSEALS:

1) Wet & Dry Mechanical Seals with metallic below.
2) Jacketed stuffing box with gland packing.
3) Metallic Screens.

CONTROLS PANEL

1) A trouble free and easy maintenance Hydraulic system :
1. • Discharge valve operation for labour-free cake removal
2. • Lowering and Lifting the agitator
3. • Lowering the detachable bottom when provided
4. • Driving the agitator, when hydraulic motor is used.
2) Limit Switches - to limit up and down movement of shaft, bottom bed and open/close of discharge valve.
3) The discharge valve is specially designed for leak proof operation and automatic cake discharge.
4) Non-bolted quick detachable bottom designs facilitate easy cleaning, quick changing of filter media, recommended for various products processing.The bottom bed is trolley mounted for easy movement.
5) Control Panel – We provide Flame proof Control panel or as required.

Nutsche Filter/Dryer Applications

Not every separation process requires the level of technology provided by a Nutsche. Nutsche filter/dryers are best selected for applications with the following process requirements:

Precise temperature control
Risk of environmental hazard from toxic or flammable products
Reslurry washing
Absolute separation between the mother liquor and wash solutions
Delicate cakes (i.e. tend to crack easily)
